Moist almond sponge cakes topped with a lemon buttercream and cherry conserve and topped with falked almonds. I wanted to try something cherry bakewell inspired. They didn't turn out as I expected but were still nice. I made it in a cake version with no buttercream and it was fab. These were nice but just a bit sweet.
