The cake is yellow butter cake with crusting chocolate fudge buttercream icing (recipe by gourmetcakes). The flowers, bees, border, bow, and letters are all gumpaste/fondant. First I have to say that the icing recipe is tops. It is smooth and the taste is amazing. If you need a chocolate bc recipe this one is it. I used one of the Wilton molds for the border and bow. This was my first chance to use the Wilton baker's blade to smooth my cake and I could not be happier with the result. I love daisies, but was tired of making them after this cake. The bees were my first attempt at fondant characters. Didn't take a close up of them for a reason, but they are my favorite detail on the cake. TFL
