This cake was a lot of firsts for me. It was my first time working with gumpaste (the trees and coconuts) , my first time working with or making piping gel (which I only ended up using in the waves), largest cake I've made (14inches), and my first time with this particular recipe.

14 inch strawberry margarita cake with lime curd filling and tequila lime buttercream. Trees and coconuts are gumpaste, the sun is candy clay, and the sand is a mixture of brown sugar, nilla wafers, and graham crackers. For my sister in law's 40th birthday luau. Thanks for looking!!!
