This was a birthday cake for a relative. It is a 2 layer scratch marble cake filled with vanilla butter cream over chocolate ganache layers. The outside is a quilted vanilla Satin Ice fondant covering decorated with pink pearl dots and a gum paste/fondant pink pearl bottom border.

The entire floral spray is completely hand-formed pink and white gum paste calla lilies, gum paste leaves and one center gum paste pink rose. The floral spray is mounted on a 5" Styrofoam half ball completely covered with dark green gum paste so that the background blends into the leaves and flowers.
