I made this cake for the 2010 Superbowl, Colts v. Saints. I used my Easter egg pan to make the football, which was a little tricky because after it chilled it and sat it on the cake it started to fall apart. Lots of icing and toothpicks were used to hold it together. The dirt around the football is just crushed chocolate cookies. It did not turn out like I had hoped but everyone at our party loved it.
