Tasked in school to create a sculpted-cake birdhouse; I found a photo of an old combat boot that someone had turned into a birdhouse.

The sole of the boot is modeling chocolate, the "leather" is fondant, and the laces are licorice. This cake wasn't consumed or ordered. It was completely edible, and made of cake, but we used pound cake to learn to sculpt, and this project was left on display for a few weeks. When they get funky... they are tossed. :)
