Tie Dye Cake

Tie Dye Cake on Cake Central

This was done by loading on the icing in a general shape of the swirl and then blending with a paintbrush. The sides are a continuation of the top colors. When I was done I loaded a pastry bag with stripes of all the colors and piped a few rosettes around the bottom.

I didn't take a picture but the tie-dye just continues to spiral down the side.  This was for my son who loves extra frosting, so I added small rosettes along the bottom edge. If I did it over today I would leave them off as it was just too much extra color. You could also do a solid color on the side and just do the swirl on top.
