This was for my husband's birthday. We did not want a lot of cake leftover( since I can no longer eat any :} ) so I made a single layer base cake of cinnamon swirl with Cinnabon (delicious!) then covered it in frosting then crumbled brown sugar to look like sand. I then used colored piping gel for the water and for the blood. The figures are a baby cthulhu eating The Cthulhu. (this is a god in a different volumes of work-Sci-Fi style) The figrues are solid MM fondant. The baby is wearing a bib that reads, Nom Nom Nom and the writing in the sand is 'Me am hungy'. The details were hand painted.
