Red Dragon Cake

Red Dragon Cake on Cake Central

I had a S-shaped stand cut from plywood with dowels to support the board, hidden inside the legs. The end of the tail and head are rice krispies. The whole thing is covered in fondant scales. Fondant accents, with modeling chocolate for the knight and teeth.

That's awesome! My son mentioned the possibility of a dragon (Yu-gi-Oh!) cake for his b-day but i'm sure it won't compare to yours!

wha how? AMAZING! Where did you get someone to cut the board/stand? Or did you do that yourself? Absolutely awesome!!! I'm blown away! And how on earth did you do the board it's sitting on??

I have only one question... why can't I be you? You have too much talent for one person, so if you feel like draining any off, you just give me a call!

I'm adding it to my favorites under Wildest Dreams!!! What do you use on the scales for the nice shin? (Novice)

I drew out a template on plywood and had my neighbor cut it for me. Then there is styro underneath the board to round out the body. The scales are painted with a lustre dust/vodka mixture...

It took about 23 hours, not including baking. I'm hoping I'll get the chance to do another one sometime. I have ideas I want to try!
