Computer Cake

Computer Cake on Cake Central

The monitor is three cakes stacked, baked in loaf pans. The mouse is a piece of cake frosted to look like a computer mouse. The keyboard cake was cut from a 11X13 sheet cake. To make the keyboard I used magic mold (safe for food) that i had bought at a craft store and molded an actual computer keyboard. I filled the mold with white chocolate and once it hardened I used black buttercream to write the letters on the keys.

OMG! I have a last minute order for a computer cake due in 1 week!! How long does it take to make the mold and then how long did it take the chocolate keyboard to dry? Great job!!

It only takes maybe a total of 30 minutes to make the mold and then, after I poured the chocolate, I put it in the fridge to harden so it didn't take long at all to set.
