Just Practicing With Glace on Cake Central

We had leftover sugar cookies and I wanted to try the Toba Garrett Glace recipe. I want something shiny that hardens, but my son can't eat eggs, so royal icing is out. I was so glad to find this recipe. These bears were just done freehand with a spoon and toothpick. Not too pretty, but not too terrible for a first attempt. My kids picked the colors--very un-Christmasy!

I'd say you did a terrific job with just a spoon and toothpick. I use the same icing recipe and have to pour some aside to thicken it up to outline. Looks like your son could be a natural! Great job.
