This is the big wedding cake I had been gearing up for for the past eight months! I am very happy with the way it turned out, and so was the bride! It's a 12, 10, 8, 6 inch 4-tier square, half chocolate chocolate chip filled with chocolate buttercream, half white filled with vanilla buttercream, all frosted with buttercream. Ribbon and bows are dark brown satin; used corsage pin to fasten. Everything else on the cake is edible. All flowers are handmade 50/50 fondant/gumpaste, . The monograms and dark brown leaves are dark modeling chocolate. Beads around base of tiers are royal icing. Side cakes are 6-inch square. I have learned so much since my first wedding cake, and thanks to all the inspiration and tutorials I found on this website. I can;t wait to do another wedding cake! None on the books yet, but 26 of my 50 business cards got snagged at the wedding, so hopefully I will get some calls. Thanks for looking!!!
