Made this Casatta Cake for my husband's birthday. In searching for a recipe online, I've learned that there are different kinds of Casatta. This one is white cake topped with whipped cream and a layer of custard and sliced strawberries. There are also crushed almonds sprinkled on the cake. Very yummy! Making the cake took so long, I didn't have much time to decorate it. Decorated using whipped cream and buttercream frosting. Thanks for looking!
