my daughter was married this past Saturday and my other daughter and I made the cakes for her wedding, this is the main cake....the bottom tier is the groom's favourite; carrot cake/cream cheese filling and the top cake is vegan choc/cappuccino cream filling, covered in white fondant with gum paste dahlias made by me. the dahlias were the flower choice for the wedding, I searched the web for a tutorial on gum paste dahlias and found nothing so I made these from pictures of real dahlias, they turned out pretty good, my daughter loved them and we received great comments from family and guests.
