I made this cake for a good friend for her 45th birthday. I told her it was to "cushion" the blow of having a landmark birthday. I saw one made on the Fabulous Cakes show and wanted to try one. I was happy with how it turned out. It's a devil's food cake with chocolate chips with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling covered with vanilla buttercream and fondant. I used two shades of pink luster dust for the shading.
