Last night was my first Wilton class. This wasn't assigned but I had some icing left in a piping bag. So I woke up this morning and baked a cake, leveled it (yea me), made my own buttercream (yea me), colored it (yea me) (purple was left over and then today I made the green and blue), smoothed it (didn't do well) and then decorated it. All we did last night was use the star tip so that's all I used. I didn't use a toothpick to remove the crumbs (fail) but I had a great time! I did have a hard time with the buttercream sticking i a few places but when I did the smoothing it seemed to work that problem out. And yes, I know my flower looks WAY more like a fan LOL.
