My First Weding Cake

Well here it is, my first wedding cake which turned out better than i could have imagined. I made square Vanilla sponges 12,10,8,6inch covered in marzipan and ivory fondant and gold piping detail. I got this pattern from a book by Mich Turner, Fantastic Party Cakes. It is their trademark pattern for her company "Little Venice Cake Company". I did no where as good as her piping but i am very pleased for my first try. I used 50 Fresh Grand Pre Roses stuck in polystyrene dummies/separators inbetween each tier. This cake was made for my brother in laws wedding. He and his wife are bangali and requested an ivory and gold cake to go with their theme. I look at the cake pics and still can't believe i actually made it. It's so rewarding seeing everyones faces and people coming up to me saying what a great job i did. All the planning and late nights paid off :). I didnt charge for the cake as it was a gift from me and my hubby. Please let me know what you think.
