First Wedding Cake -- Untraditional!
A collegue asked me to make this following a b-day cake example she saw in a mag. No fancy flowers/decorations, but I got to try my hand at gum paste on the 45's and the notes. (Her color choice!) One challenge was transporting it because we had to go up so many hills to get there, and then I had to fix some bulging on the top tiers. (Very frustrating because they had been perfectly smooth!) I thought it turned out okay, but I wasn't happy with the border. I did it at the site, and I was nervous.

You did a great job! It's really irksome to me when someone is watching me, so I could imagine how you'd be nervous doing the borders on site. Still, you did a great job.
