Textured Fondant With Frangipani's on Cake Central

This was the result of our final class. It was supposed to be rich purple, but I guess I didn't mix the colours well, and apparently it's not possible to buy rich purple colour in NZ.... weird. The lady who runs the classes said there's something in it that is illegal in NZ. Anyway, I digress!

So we coloured the fondant, then rolled it out, then lay these big rubber mats over top of it, and rolled again to get the pattern. Draped it over and bobs your uncle.

The frangipani's were a lot easier than I had expected, can't wait to make more of those. The twisty thing at the bottom was just my way of trying to cover up a messy bottom (the fondant was too heavy and stretched out a bit).
