Thanksgiving Cake '05

Thanksgiving Cake '05 on Cake Central

Pumpkin cake, Cinnamon BC icing, RI flowers, Fondant Pumpkins. The relatives didn't know I've gotten into cake decorating. Thought that I'd purchased that at a bakery. Is that a compliment or an insult?????? LOL

Thanks! I don't seem to have a problem getting the letter size consistent....but I can certainly mess up a good cake by not getting the "entire phrase" placed well. This one's ok, but I got lucky! Pumpkins are fondant. Leaves BC. I just treat the fondant like modeling clay. LOL

your comment is fuuny because I thought of how beautiful it was and it looks so much better than what you could purchase at a store. Great cake I love it

Your cake is awesome!! The colors are wonderful!! So vibrant!!! Love the color of the base icing, did you get that just with the cinnamon?

Thanks you guys....yes, the cinnamon is the only "coloring". I had seen someone on this site do this~ so kudos to CC. Thanks for the writing compliments. I got lucky in the handwriting department, so I guess it carries over. I machine-gunned the Wilton courses starting last May. Had dabbled for years, but not the right way. Am going to take a gumpaste class in January and I'm really excited about that. Thanks again :-)
