This was a cake that I made for my sister's birthday. The flowers are paper that I made and stuck to waxed paper and then attached to the cake with melted chocolate. The cake is caramel with penuche filling and SMBC frosting

I used Wilton colors to color the fondant. It was a combination of juniper, leaf green and a touch of brown. I didn't use a pattern for the flowers. One is just a heart punch that I layred around a circle; the loopy one is ovals that I wrapped around a pen and adhered then layered up. The final one is cut from a sizzix big shot die. Penuche is a brown sugar/butter fudgel-like concoction that tastes like caramel heaven to me. It is super sweet and wonderful. I use the recipe from the red checkered BH&G c...

... from BH&Gardens cookbook but I add 1/4 cup extra milk so that is spreadible. It is really firm when cool to so it is wonderful as a filling when you are covering with fondant. Thanks for all the sweet comments:)

I"m going to jump on the bandwagon and say these colors are INCREDIBLE together. And, I love the flowers - I thought they were GP cut with a cricut. What is SMBC? I assume buttercream, but you got it incredibly smooth... very nice!

It's swiss meringue buttercream under but it is covered in marshmallow fondant :)
