White Roses And Red Orchids Wedding Cake

White Roses And Red Orchids Wedding Cake on Cake Central

This was made of a client with a chocolate cake bottom tier, fruit cake top tier. She requested white roses and red orchids with silver markings and stamen, the criss cross pattern with silver balls in each crossover and piped hearts for the top. the final layout was left to my own discretion.

Hey Ariginal, this cake is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have a wedding cake to make in 3 weeks and the bride wants it in fondant, which is my first attempt. My question is how did u design the bottom tier with the criss cross pattern and where would u get the silver balls. Also the brides' colors are ivory and dark chocolate, would they have any balls that color but if not what do you think would be the best complement for it. Thanks....

Hi nesha, thanks for the compliment.. f1st time i did the criss cross i had it rawn on paper with a template and uses a ruler to press it into the cake laying the template on the icing, then with the little ball tool i make little dips at each crossover to add a little royal icing to stick inthe balls which are silver cachous idont know if you can get those colours can get silver, gold and multi which has pink and blues i think if i were you i would probably use gold ones hope that helps good luck
