This very lucky 8-year old birthdaygirl desperately wanted a dolphin on her cake. She just loves the ocean theme so I decided to be a little more creative... and added just a few more details... like... the mermaid, baby dolphin, turtle, coral and.. more. Her parents came to pick up the cake and were just stunned and the birthday girl herself was thrilled. She called me the next day and said it was even better than she could have ever imagined in her most beautiful dreams. Quite a compliment! Needless to say I just had a blast making this cake. A Lemon Delight with Sweet lemon filling (own recipes), decorated with fondant. All the ocean figurines are also made out of fondant. The centerpiece is made out of wood, covered in fondant. The mermaid is partly a Barby doll (as a gift to the B-day girl). Comes with matching cupcakes! Thanx for looking!
