I made this cake for my daughter's 15th birthday; she loves the Broadway musical Rent. The cake is yellow cake with butter cream frosting and covered in fondant. To make the spray paint effect I used an edible spray paint. The small letters were made out of piping gel and the big letters to spell "RENT" were made out of fondant. The blue and white scarf is a signature piece of costume for the main character, and I made that out of fondant as well. It was her favorite cake!
