This cake was quite the undertaking, and was also a first for me. This is the first shoe cake I've ever made and the first time I carved cake. The client gave me a pic of the grooms favorite sneaker to work off of. I was nervous that it was not going to come out well enough, but after NINE hours I feel I did a pretty good job making it look real. The client was blown away:) If there is any interest I did take SOME step by step pict's I could probably do a pretty good tutorial. Let me know.
