Made for my Grandmother's birthday. She collects cardinals, so I thought of this with much inspiration from other CCers. We live in FL, so we rarely see snow, but I thought it made a nice addition! Marbled 3 layer cake, ganache filling and crumb coat, orange buttercream frosting. Fondant and royal icing pine cones with sanding sugar "snow" that sparkled beautifully (but doesn't really show in the pic), everything else is buttercream. Tasted heavenly!
