Made this cake for my dad's birthday. He has a western swing band and always dreamed of stardom. So, I threw a "Star of the show" party for him. I made the cake decorations from chocolate molds. I sprayed the molds with cooking spray, pressed the fondant into the molds, and whala! I had to trim along the edges...but it worked wonderfully. I think next time I will use pound cake as moist cake did not hold up well with all that weight.
