Medieval Castle on Cake Central

This is a 3 layer, 8-inch square. The towers are made of Rice Krispie treats. The whole thing is covered with individually placed fondant 'stones'.

How did you do the trim on top?? I've tried to make them before but failed miserably. :cry: This castly is perfect.

Cyndi, I used a border cutter to make the top. I think it's FMM, but I don't remember and didin't save the packaging.

thanks for the nice compliments! harrison - the drawbridge is a piece of gumpaste. I used a wooden slat impression mat, but you can't really see it. The 'ropes' are gumpaste. The bridge is resting on a big blob of fondant. For the grass, I first piped random blobs of icing to give a hilly effect, then went over the whole thing with grass tip 233 using 2-toned green icing.

How long did it take? hahaha... my family was out of town, so I was home alone. Needed to do SOMETHING all night! :)
