This cake is The Hungry Caterpillar eating through an apple. This cake was made for my daughter's teachers for the end of the school year 2009. The cake is sour cream white cake with cookies and cream filling and buttercream icing. The apple is smoothed buttercream and airbrushed red. The stem, leaves, tiny flowers, lady bugs and The Hungry Caterpillar are made of gum paste. The cake board is covered in green fondant and airbrushed green. Thanks for looking!
