My friend and her twin sister were celebrating their birthday along with one of their husbands. I was trying to think of a way to make a birthday cake for all 3. I decided since they were in their early 30s to base it on their favorite cartoons growing up. It was a 10" round done in BC. The characters and names on the side were cut out of fondant. I freehanded the names, care bear and also the writing of Cabbage Patch Kids. I marbelized fondant with several colors for the ball border. I wanted it to be fun and childish, so I wanted it to look like marbles.
