I made this for my best friend's little boy, to give to his daddy for christmas . The brief was 'make him look like daddy getting dressed up as santa!', which I think I did!

I made the little glasses and the ear pieces of the beard (down the side of the cake) out of fine gauge wire. The tree is made using snowflake cutters and green fondant, I then threaded them onto a cocktail stick, with little pieces of icing to separate them slightly. I then used tylose glue to stick tiny silver ball dragees onto the branches.

It's a chocolate mud cake, with chocolate orange buttercream. Covering and modelling are all in fondant.
