The cakes are iced using buttercream icing. The ornaments are made out of fondant and sugar. The star on the tree is made of sugar. The tree garland is fondant. The piggy bank, truck and train are also made from fondant. I poured orange sugar and let it dry for the fire. I then broke it and placed a battery operated tea light candle behind it to give the look of a real fireplace. The stockings and the decor on the fireplace are also made from fondant. The snowman was made from pulled sugar.
