Although a Christmas party, they really didn't want a typical Christmas theme. I used Roland's French vanilla sour cream cake, (episode 8) filled with raspberry, chocolate and buttercream. MFF covered over a buttercream crumb coat and the figures were made of modeling chocolate, (for the deer), and almond bark candy clay for the trees and rabbits. The pond is melted Jolly Ranchers. (Darn if it didn't look like an algae filled pond!, but oh well...) I found the chocolate easier to carve. The almond bark tended to melt under my fingers, so the rabbits ended up a little rougher since I had to hurry. All in all, it was a very fun project. They said it tasted good and that's what counts.
