This was my first no-fondant (cover all the mistakes, make it look pretty) cake. I was terrified! It was also my first stacked with pillars cake. The separator between the 2nd and 3rd tier is a plexi-glass box made by my hubby, filled with silk petals. Bottom layer has a quote piped on. "Love is the beginning of Happily Ever After". Almond Buttercream, silver white cake with chocolate ganache filling (bottom tier), and strawberry filling (top tier and second tier) third tier is styrofoam. Gumpaste roses, decorations, and duct tape...(groom's addition :D) I also made the topper in WillowTree fashion, from Sculpey clay. I wanted teh topper to match the bride's dress.
