Culinary Graduate Cake

Culinary Graduate Cake on Cake Central

I made this cake for my BIL's graduation from Le Cordon Bleu....Western Culinary Institute. It is a chocolate cake, with a strawberry cream cheese filling, iced with cream cheese frosting then topped with rolled fondant. I made the Le Cordon Bleu Logo out of Marzipan, and painted it with the Wilton brush on paint. It's a bit plain looking...but it's clean and I liked how it turned out.

Thanks, this was a challenging one! For the emblem I used fondant and used fondant paint to make it that blue. It is super sticky, and if it touched anything it left a permanent blue mark....which made me nervous puting it on a white fondant background. I had to get all the placements right on the first try. I know it's a bit plain, but it turned out just like I hoped! Thanks for the nice comment!
