8 ball cake for my son's 8th birthday. He loves playing pool with his dad so I thought this would be a fun cake. He asked for a cookies and cream cake. So, cookies and cream cake with cookies & cream filling. My husband cringed when I talked about covering the cake with black fondant. He suggested covering the cake with finely ground oreo crumbs (keeping with the cookies & cream theme) so I tried it. It worked pretty well. It's not perfect but it was fun and yummy too!!
