"latte" Cupcakes

For these cupcakes I used the king sized cupcake pan (didn't know there was one!) to get a latte cup shape. I used lemon cake then filled half with vanilla cream and half with a mixed berry preserve. The customer wanted brown and pink so this is what I came up with. I already had the brown chocolate fondant so that is what I used to cover the cakes then added the fondant accents. Covering was harder than I thought because the cakes were tapered so I had to trim down the sides to make it fit. I did the handles with 50f/50gp and let dry before I attached with gumglue. They are topped with a cream cheese icing. They were fun to make and it gave an idea on what to do different next time but overall I'm pleased for my first try!
