Sorry for the horrid background. I almost forgot to photograph the cake! This is for a baby shower, but the mom-to-be didn't want a "baby shower" cake. She's a self-described surfer-girl, so she wanted a Hawaiian inspired cake that went with the decor of the baby's nursery. One of the oddest cakes I've done, inspiration-wise. Covered in MFF. The stripes are also MFF. The sign is made of gumpaste with silver dragees writing is RI. The flowers are piping gel. The "sand" is brown sugar. TFL!!
