This is a cake I made as a surprise for an old friend who was having a family reunion at her lake house near me. I am still a beginner and wanted to do fondant & gumpaste decor. but ran out of time & experience,therefore I used candy & pretzels. It is the largest cake I have made yet.The lake design was an upside down race car pan. Lake is Strawberry cake w/Straw.filling, & straw. flavored buttercream, 6"rounds: Orange cake with Orange flavored buttercream,front lawn: french vanilla w/chocolate buttercream. I thought it was cute although a close male friend said it is the ugliest cake I've made? You can be the judge, I can take it!
