Cake for my British neighbor who is 80 today. He is a very active man, he bakes pies for the church and sings in the choir and takes care of his ill wife of 57 years with such devotion. He is so sharp and I love listening to him talk about his life experiences. Vanilla cake with jam, BC icing and MMF lemon flavored fondant. Inspiration for the roses came from his own garden of which the yellow were the first to bloom. He was so thrilled with his cake, he brought it out and set it out in the living room where all of the guests could see it. First time to attempt marbelizing and the use of the lace texture cutters.
