First two layer cake. Bottom tier is double layer 8" chocolate cake with buttercream filling - top 6" tier is double golden yellow cake with buttercream filling - and then frosted with buttercream frosting. The roses and flowers were made of royal icing. The flowers were then accented with edible gold luster dust. The fully finished cake featured the phrase "Go For The Gold" circling the sides of the top tier.
