I made this cake for my son Elijah's, Upsherin. An Upsherin is a Jewish celebration for a Jewish boy's first haircut, when he turns 3. (Hebrew letters say Eliahu, which is Elijah in Hebrew)

Marble cake, buttercream frosting, fondant Hebrew letters and tallit. The baby blocks are cake "balls" in cube shapes (which was difficult to coat evenly with chocolate, since I had no time to practice first) made from gluten free cake mix so my Celiac daughter, son and friend had something to eat from the cake.
