I used two 8-inch rouds to make this cake. i cut one in half, stacked it, and then placed it on its side for the body, just cut up the other pieces for the rest. There are some similar instructions here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Fire-Breathing-Dragon-Cake!!/ if you want to give it a try!
