My 1St Wedding Cake
I made this cake (for my boss) after completing Wilton's course 1. It is a lemon cake made with the Wilton Performance Square pan set (16", 12" & 8"). It was a massive undertaking for a novice (at least I thought so). The bottom layer is 1 12" torted with lemon curd, frosted with BC (flavored with lemon) then a 2nd 12" torted with seedless raspberry preserves, then covered in BC. The next two layers were done the same. It was a wonderful experience and the bride and groom were very happy! I was very pleased with the way it came out.
