Thanks dky. I guess the best thing to do is make sur all holes in the cake surface are plugged and made smooth so that when you put the first layer of fondant on, it is very flat. Then the second layer is pretty much perfect. Sorry, that's my only photo.
I love your cake and wondered what you used to hold your ribbon in place, I'm also using a ribbon bow and would like any hint as to what to use to hold it in place too. Thanks

YOu cake is beautiful. You put two layers of fondant on your cakes? Did I read that right, or did I misunderstand?
Keliames, yes. On all cakes except fruit cake where I use marzipan as the first layer, I put 2 layers of fondant.
YOUR FINISH IS PRETTY PERFECT, ANY SECRETS??? DO YOU HAVE A SHOT FROM THE TOP?

Great cake! Do you serve it with both layers of fondant? Is it hard to cut?
Yeah, it's served with both layers of fondant. They are fairly thin. It just helps to gt a smooth surface to put 2 layers.
