I did these cookies for my daugthers birthday in March. 20 cookies with yellow mm fondant and glaze icing. I used my KK projector to trace in icing then filled in. It took a longggg time to do these.
Forgot to add, the kids at my daugthers pre-school flipped over these. They were a huge hit and they didn't want to eat them, LOL. I individually bagged each one for the children.
Pastry diva, I will have to look it up, I either used a modified royal icing recipe (with some butter in it) or toba garrets glace icing. will look up recipe when I get home. They dry stackable but are soft inside so you don't break a tooth. the butter helps. You do have to let them sit overnight though before bagging.
Great job. I wouldn't want to eat them either! Is the outlining the same glace icing? I used Toba Garrett's glace and couldn't get it thick enough for too much detail. Yours look terrific!
OK, these, and your Scooby cookies are just TOO COOL! What the heck is a KK projector and where would I find one of these? My kids would die for cool cookies to take to school (and they would transport a whole lot easier than cup cakes!)
check out kopykake.com they sell projectors, edible image printers, and airbrushes, but I got mine through artcity.com which has the same brand but cheaper. I got the 300 model, lower priced. I posted the recipe under recipe requests it's called toba garetts icing recipe. :)
