Pink Purse Cake on Cake Central

I made this cake for my niece's "Dress-up" birthday party. The flavor was "confetti" cake with buttercream filling, covered in fondant. I made 2- 1/4 sheet cakes and cut them in half. I stacked them on top of each other with buttercream between and carved the shape I wanted. For the fondant, I cut 4 separate pieces and then made the flap to go over the top. I had a hard time deciding how to do the strap, but ended up using wire & tape and covered it in fondant. It was fun & everyone loved it!
