I made 55 of these cakes for a banquet held at my church for couples who had been married 50 years or more. The cakes were simple white 6" cakes, buttercream icing, with a gum paste rose, filler flowers, leaves and a decorative ribbon. I received many letters of appreciation from the couples involved. I only had one problem: I left the last of the cakes by the door, went to get my keys and when I returned, my dog had licked the icing off of three cakes. Fortunatey, I had spares.
