This was my first topsy turvey cake and I did it as a donation to the church silent auction benefiting nursing home residents. It was almost a flop because the second tier had 3 layers and the bottom layer of it totally collapsed under pressure! But I managed to just use 2 layers and it looks good. Cake is French vanilla covered in BC with fondant accents. A on top is solid fondant. I had a cake mold for the A and I used it to mold and then stuck 2 dowel rods in the A to stand it up.
