My friend and coworker got married and had the unique privilege of designing her own wedding cake (based on her dress) for us to create. All tiers were iced in buttercream except the bottom. The floral cutouts were made from fondant using a storebought lace mold. The pleats on the bottom are made from fondant. We used storebought strings of rhinestones (from JoAnn's) to create the monogram as well as some other sparkly accents. All of the fondant is covered in luster dust.
